CUPPING & GUA SHA

TRADITIONAL TECHNIQUES FOR RELAXATION & WELLBEING

Cupping and Gua Sha are traditional Chinese Medicine techniques that work with

the body’s tissues to support circulation, ease muscular tension and promote relaxation and wellbeing

CUPPING

Cupping uses gentle suction to lift the skin and underlying tissues. It may be used to support circulation, relieve muscular tension and promote a sense of relaxation.

Cupping can be particularly useful when muscles feel tight, heavy or uncomfortable.

GUA SHA

Gua Sha uses a smooth-edged tool to gently stimulate the skin and underlying tissues.

It may be used to ease muscular tension, support circulation and promote relaxation. Gua Sha can also be incorporated into facial treatments where appropriate.

Cupping may leave temporary circular marks  on  the skin.  These  usually  fade  naturally within several days.

Gua Sha may cause temporary redness or mild  sensitivity,  which  normally settles naturally.

Your treatment is always adjusted according to your comfort, needs and response.
