POLYNUCLEOTIDES

SUPPORTING SKIN REPAIR & REJUVENATION

Polynucleotides (PN)  are  a  type  of  skin booster,  but are often considered separately because of their

distinctive ingredients and biological properties. While many traditional skin boosters focus primarily on hydration and skin quality, polynucleotides are DNA-derived biopolymers designed to support the skin’s natural repair and regenerative processes.

Most aesthetic polynucleotide products are made from highly purified DNA derived from salmon or trout. Rather than simply adding hydration or volume, polynucleotides are thought to support cellular activity, tissue repair and collagen production, helping to improve skin quality, elasticity and resilience over time.

PARTICULARLY SUITABLE FOR THE EYE AREA

The delicate skin around the eyes can be especially challenging to treat. Polynucleotides are particularly interesting for this area because they aim to support skin remodelling and regeneration rather than add volume.

This is different from hyaluronic-acid-based treatments, which can attract and retain water and, in some individuals,  may  contribute  to  puffiness  around  the  eyes.  Polynucleotides  work  through  a  different approach, focusing on the quality, resilience and structure of the skin rather than creating volume.

For  suitable  patients,   products such as  LumiPro Eye,  Nucleofill eye,  Rejuran I  may be considered specifically for the delicate periocular area.

THE PRODUCTS I USE

I work with a range of established polynucleotide products, including Nucleofill®, Rejuran®, Plinest®, Newest One®, Newest® and LumiPro Eye®. Different products have different formulations, characteristics and recommended  treatment  areas,  allowing  me  to  select  an  option  according  to  your  skin  condition, treatment goals and individual circumstances.

If you have a particular polynucleotide product you prefer that isn't listed here, please let me know. Where appropriate, I can source your preferred product and tailor the treatment accordingly.

Treatment  involves  multiple  small  injections  into  the  skin,  with  the  technique  and depth adjusted according to the individual product, treatment area and your needs.

The aim is not to add volume or change your features, but to support the skin’s own ability to repair, remodel and maintain its quality over time.
