MICRONEEDLING
CONTROLLED STIMULATION FOR SKIN RENEWAL
Microneedling is a minimally invasive treatment that uses very fine needles to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin. This stimulates the skin’s natural repair and remodelling processes and may support collagen and elastin production, helping to improve skin texture, firmness and overall appearance.
Microneedling is not limited to mechanical stimulation alone. Depending on the treatment and your individual needs, specialised products can be used alongside microneedling, including hyaluronic acid, polynucleotides and other skin-supporting nutrients. The choice of product and technique depends on the condition being treated and the desired outcome.
There is also some overlap between microneedling and other skin-rejuvenation techniques. For example, PRP can be introduced using microneedling, or applied using a skin-booster style injection technique to selected areas, depending on the treatment plan.
Microneedling can be used for concerns such as uneven skin texture, enlarged pores, fine lines, acne scarring, stretch marks and a dull or uneven complexion. By creating controlled micro-injuries, it encourages the skin to remodel and may help improve the appearance and texture of scarred or stretched skin over time.
Microneedling can also be used for scalp and hair treatments. It may be incorporated into hair-loss programmes to stimulate the scalp and support local circulation and the skin environment around the hair follicles. Following hair transplantation, microneedling may also form part of aftercare to support the healing process and the environment needed for graft survival.
The treatment depth and intensity are adjusted according to the area, skin condition and individual needs rather than using the same approach for everyone. You may experience a mild prickling or warming sensation during treatment, followed by temporary redness or sensitivity as the skin recovers.
The aim is to stimulate your own natural repair and renewal processes,
helping the skin or scalp become healthier and more resilient over time.
